Matched Colt Centennial SAA Pair – “Peacemaker” & “Frontier Six Shooter” .45 LC & .44-40, Display Cased (1973)

This beautifully preserved commemorative Colt Peacemaker Centennial set honors the 100th anniversary of the iconic Single Action Army revolver. Manufactured in 1973, this matched pair includes both the .45 Colt “Peacemaker” and the .44-40 “Frontier Six Shooter,” each fitted in its own factory display case with historical details and commemorative plaques.

1. Colt SAA “Peacemaker” – .45 Colt (S/N: PC1712):
This 7.5" barrel revolver is built on a black powder frame and marked "1873 PEACEMAKER CENTENNIAL 1973" on the left side of the barrel. It features a case-hardened frame, blued barrel and cylinder, and a smooth one-piece walnut grip with inspector-style cartouche. All serialized parts match. The revolver is housed in its original walnut display case with red felt lining and commemorative plaque. The condition is near new with only minor signs of handling—an outstanding display-grade revolver with mirror-bright bore.

2. Colt Frontier Six Shooter – .44-40 (S/N: 1712PC):
The second revolver in the set is nickel-plated throughout, including the 7.5" barrel, frame, and fluted cylinder. The barrel is marked "COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER" in an oval panel. The grips are two-piece black checkered hard rubber with Rampant Colt and eagle motifs, numbered internally to match the gun. This revolver comes in its original leatherette-covered display case with brown felt interior and brass plaque. Condition is similarly excellent with a bright bore and only faint cylinder drag lines.
