Description
This 1964 Colt Python is an early-production example of one of the most iconic double-action revolvers ever made. Chambered in .357 Magnum with a rare and desirable 2.5-inch vent rib barrel, it features a deep Colt blued finish and classic checkered walnut grips.
Rated in Good condition, this revolver retains 40–79% of its original finish, with visible wear on working surfaces and some minor pitting noted. The metal has likely received a non-professional refinish, but all markings remain legible and the action is mechanically excellent. The walnut grips show expected wear with dings and minor age marks but remain solid.
Most importantly, this vintage Python comes with its original Colt box, adding collector value and making it a more complete example for enthusiasts of early Colt revolvers. As a Curio & Relic eligible firearm, it offers both historical significance and enduring shooting quality.
